The Boondocks Bar & Grill, formerly known as King James Refuge, is out to put West Chicago on the map.  Identical twins Dan & Dave Lipka took over the business in early 2008 and proceeded to remodel and modernize the bar and restaurant.  Since then, they have worked to maintain the pig roast catering business King James was known for, but additionally have radically expanded the club's entertainment offerings.  The club features indoor and outdoor entertainment stages, a pool table, horseshoe pits, bags, two volleyball courts, ladder golf, and a bonfire pit.  The outdoor concert size stage is located out back in the biggest beer garden in the state.  Live bands play for your enjoyment on Fridays and Saturdays.  The Boondocks offers the best of both worlds - big city entertainment in a peaceful rural-type setting.

The Boondocks is proud to be a true family business.  You can often find one or both of the twins behind the bar.  Sisters Melanie & Courtney also serve up a mean cocktail, brother Shane helps with security, and Mom frequently lends a hand serving the wonderful barbecue cuisine.
